New dog house stolen from PAWS

Rochester, N.Y. - A $500 dog house was stolen from 1105 Ridgeway Avenue, the site of PAWS.

The thieves broke security to steal the dog house that weighs about 450 pounds and measures three cubic feet.

The doghouse was one of ten which had just been made by Local 276 Carpenters Union apprentices free of charge for the non-profit, which cares for family pets in the City.

"These dog houses were just delivered yesterday afternoon and we left them covered outside for a few hours while we attended an off-site meeting. I actually was heading back there to get them more secured for storage, while they await their permanent locations in the community," said Matt Piccone, founder and president of PAWS.
