Man caught at Rochester Airport with loaded gun

Rochester, N.Y. A Monroe County man was stopped by Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officers Saturday after the officer at the X-ray machine spotted a loaded handgun in the mans carry-on bag.

The Monroe County Sheriffs Department confiscated the gun and found it loaded with six rounds.

The gun was holstered in the bag.

Firearm possession laws vary by state and locality.

Passengers are permitted to travel with firearms in checked baggage if they are properly packaged and declared. Firearms must be unloaded, packed in a hard-side case, locked, and packed separately from ammunition.
