Abandoned dog now safe in shelter

Rochester, N.Y. - After being abandoned months ago, Jack Frost is recovering at a local animal shelter.

Jack Frost was dropped off at Rescued Treasures Pet Adoptions. He was allegedly left in a home with no heat for months. The dog suffered from hypothermia and starvation.

His owner is in prison and we believe he was in prison for 2 to 3 months and arranged for someone to care for the dog, said Debbie, with Rescue Treasures. And obviously whoever was caring for him stopped at some point and left him there to starve and die."

Following treatment, Jack Frost will head to the East Ridge Animal Hospital, and then a foster home, before being made available for adoption.
