Boy hero draws sympathy, many donations

Penfield, N.Y. - Nearly $57,000 has been raised by an online campaign to help the family of 8-year-old Tyler Doohan.

Tyler died when he went back into a burning mobile home to rescue his disabled grandfather. The quick-thinking boy had already alerted six other family members who managed to escape the fire Monday.

The Web site YouCaring.com began with the goal of raising $15,000 to help family members pay for Tylers funeral.

On Friday, Jan. 24, the amount raised was $56,932, according to the site.
