East, South still dealing with cold

Atlanta (AP) -- About half the U.S. has been in a deep freeze, as the cold arctic air covers the Midwest to the Northeast and South. Authorities blame at least 21 deaths on the cold weather, including seven people in Illinois and six in Indiana. Authorities said several victims were homeless people who either refused shelter or didn't make it to a warm place.
