Antarctica ship rescue, finally

Antarctica - After more than a week of waiting, scientists and tourists stranded near Antarctica are being rescued Thursday morning.

A helicopter from a nearby Chinese icebreaker landed early Thursday to evacuate the 52 scientists and tourists onboard this trapped ship.

The rescue operation is expected to take at least five hours, depending on the weather.

The ship has been stuck in 10 feet of ice since Christmas.
