NYS troopers watchful on Super Bowl weekend
Albany, N.Y. (AP) -- State police will be watching out for drunk and distracted drivers during the Super Bowl weekend.
The statewide crackdown on DWI and texting-while-driving violators starts Friday and runs through Monday. The Super Bowl is on Sunday.
State police will work with county sheriff and local law-enforcement agencies across the state during the three days.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo urged drivers to plan ahead for Super Bowl parties and to use caution when travelling.
