Vote expected on federal budget deal

Washington -- The Republican-led House of Representatives is expected to pass a $1.1 trillion spending bill Wednesday.

The measure will restore or reduce some of the automatic federal budget cuts, as well as preserve the presidents healthcare overhaul.

The deal would also give a $1 billion increase to Head Start programs and the Race to the Top initiative.

About 57,000 students lost access to early education programs when funding was cut.
