Local HS choir to perform at Carnegie Hall

Palmyra, N.Y. -- A local high school choir is embarking on the trip of a lifetime Friday morning.

Students in the Palmyra-Macedon High School Select Choir will travel to New York City to perform at Carnegie Hall.

The group was invited to take part in the Eighth Performing Arts Educators Invitational Saturday afternoon.

It was a pleasant surprise for conductor Jill Davis and the choirs 32 members.

"Im really honored and humbled, and I think that speaks for all of us," Davis said. "Its something that I had on my own personal bucket list -- a place I wanted to perform at some day -- so this was absolutely a dream come true."
