New Star Wars sequel using Kodak film

Los Angeles -- Director J.J. Abrams said the script for the next Star Wars movie, which will have a local connection, is complete.

Abrams said the movie, Episode VII in the series, will not be shot with IMAX or digital cameras, but rather on Kodak film.

The film, co-written by Lawrence Kasdan, who also co-wrote The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, is scheduled to hit theaters Dec. 18, 2015.
