Cuomo picks panel for Bills stadium
Albany, N.Y. -- Gov. Andrew Cuomo named five people to a board that will explore the idea of a new stadium for the Buffalo Bills.
Up to 21 people will be appointed to the board. The Erie County Stadium Corporation, the county and the Bills each get to choose up to seven people to represent them on the board.
The Buffalo News reported that Cuomo named Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown, Lt. Gov. Robert Duffy, Buffalo Niagara Partnership CEO Dottie Gallagher-Cohen, Empire State Development President Kenneth Adams, and Niagara Falls Mayor Paul Dyster to the panel.
Ralph Wilson Stadium is currently undergoing renovations to bring it up to par with other NFL stadiums. The Bills signed a 10-year lease to keep them in Orchard Park in December 2012.
