Students awarded for good deeds

Rochester, N.Y. -- The interim chief of the Rochester Police Department handed out awards to several young people Thursday.

These young people, who have set themselves apart for their positive behavior and good deeds were honored for the good that they do.

Laurence Cotton, an 11th grader and one of the students honored, stopped a robbery.

I was on the phone and turned around, Cotton said. They walked away.

Cotton said the honor feels good and makes him want to do more good deeds in the community.
