Airline fees keep going up

McLean, Va. -- Airline fees are on the rise, according to a new survey of a dozen airlines by USA Today.

The survey found major airlines are levying fees of $400 or more.

Delta is charging $400 to change a ticket for international flights.

American Airlines charges $450 for an overweight bag for international flights.

United Airlines charges $400 for international flights.

USA Today's most recent survey focused only on fees for most coach passengers.

Statistics according to the Department of Transportation show that 15 U.S. airlines reported revenues of $2.6 billion from baggage fees and $2.1 billion from reservation-change fees during the first three quarters of 2013.
