Hoffman diaries returned to family

New York -- Police have returned two diaries belonging to late actor Philip Seymour Hoffman to his family.

The diaries had been taken as part of the investigation into the Fairport natives death.

Police sources said the diaries didnt reveal any suicidal thoughts or chronicles of drug activity, but did include references to Hoffmans struggle with addiction.

Hoffman died Feb. 2 of an apparent heroin overdose at his New York City apartment at age 46.
