Driver fell asleep before head-on crash

Clarkson, N.Y. -- Three people were taken to the hospital following a head-on crash Sunday afternoon.

Monroe County sheriff's deputies said Sandra Baase, 70, fell asleep while driving, lost control of her car and drove into the other lane of Redman Road before colliding with a car.

Baase was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. The driver and passenger in the other car, Andrew Kroomer, 21, and Ashley Deluca, 20, respectively, suffered broken legs.
