Body found in freezer identified

Kansas City, Kan. - The body of a man found stuffed into a freezer in a garage in a Kansas City house has been identified as Lawrence Muirhead, a Spencerport High School graduate.

Muirhead, 53, a truck driver, was hauling a load from Pennsylvania to Arizona last year when he disappeared. His family last heard from the father of four Sept. 28 and reported him missing Oct. 1.

According to his social media accounts, Muirhead was a 1978 Spencerport graduate.

Muirhead's truck was found abandoned in Merriam, Kan., Oct. 4.

Now, investigators are trying to figure out how he ended up in a top-loading freezer police found in a garage in Kansas City Feb. 9.

Kansas City police would not comment on the case, but they did confirm theyre investigating his death as a homicide.
