'Dancing with the Stars' names new co-host

New York -- When Dancing with the Stars returns to ABC in March, Erin Andrews will be its new co-host.

ABC Entertainment announced in a press release that Andrews, a correspondent for Fox Sports, would co-host its reality dance competition.

Andrews, 35, replaces Brooke Burke-Charvet, according to a statement from the shows executive producer, Conrad Green.

Shes been a wonderful part of Dancing With the Stars family since her triumphant win in season seven and will unquestionably be missed by our entire team," the statement read. "Wed like to thank Brooke for her years of great service.

Andrews, who will continue to work for Fox Sports, competed on Season 10 of Dancing and made it to the finals.

She will join longtime co-host Tim Bergeron when the 18th season premieres 8 p.m. March 17.

The show will also have a new music director, as Ray Chew will replace Harold Wheeler.

The cast of season 18 will be revealed on Good Morning America March 4.
