Snowmobile accident sends one to hospital

Seneca Falls, N.Y. Seneca Falls Police Department officers responded to a snowmobile accident on Kingdom Road around 1 a.m. on February 16.

According to investigators, Andrea Osterhout, 22, of Seneca Falls, was operating a snowmobile that collided head-on with another snowmobile.

Osterhout was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital for her injuries, police said. She was later charged with imprudent speed and operation, operating without insurance and unregistered snowmobile.

The other operator, Zachary Herman, 22, of Seneca Falls, was charged with imprudent speed and operation.

The two snowmobiles involved in the accident were towed from the scene, police said.
