City of Rochester employee facing drug charges

A city of Rochester employee with a clean work record is facing federal drug charges.

Christopher Kendrick is charged with possessing cocaine with intent to distribute.

Rochester Police found him with more than 20 kilograms of cocaine in his vehicle last week.

Kendrick worked for Rochester's Department of Environmental Services. His responsibilities included cutting grass, picking up the trash, and making sure the city was clean.

"He was a great employee," said Mayor Lovely Warren. "We didn't have any issues with him but of course we are going back to look at the record and a lot of that will be able to determine but some of it we'll be able to share, others will be confidential."
