Two arrested outside concert

Rochester, N.Y. -- Two people were arrested outside the Main Street Armory Saturday night for disorderly conduct.

The arrests occurred as a Juicy J concert was underway inside.

The owner of the concert venue told 13WHAM a select few in a large crowd of late concertgoers started to become violent when trying to enter the building, and because of the escalating violence, no additional people were allowed inside.

The venue operator added he made the decision to avoid innocent people getting hurt outside.

Some would-be concertgoers unable to enter the concert were shocked by the violence.

"We saw six or seven ambulances," said Patrease Nance, who drove from Buffalo to see the concert. "They said some started to get trampled. Maybe it's good we didn't make it inside."

The concert venue operator told 13WHAM News there were eight special-event officers hired to patrol the area outside, and 80 security guards inside.
