Monday marks deadline for healthcare signups

Washington, D.C. - Monday is the deadline to enroll in healthcare under the Affordable Healthcare Act for 2014.

Six million people have signed up so far. The White House's goal is seven million.

So far, 750,000 New Yorkers have signed up for coverage.

The deadline has been extended, so that anyone who begins the signup by today can complete the process by April 7.

If you are not signed up or are in the process of doing so by the end of the day, you will not be able to be covered until next year. Anyone without some form of health insurance faces an annual penalty of up to $95.
