FAA: Airplane in ROC has run-in with birds

Rochester, N.Y. - A small plane experienced a run-in with birds Thursday morning.

The FAA said the pilot, leaving Greater Rochester International Airport, reported a bird strike while leaving the runway.

The Beechcraft BE-40 twin engine jet returned to Rochester and landed safely. It's unclear how many people were on board or where the plane was going.

The FAA is investigating the incident.
