Surprise proposal at AMC Webster

Webster, N.Y. -- A Rochester-area woman was surprised with a romantic weekend from her high school sweetheart, but she didn't expect what happened when they took a trip to a Webster movie theater.

Mercedes Good met Eric Young back in 2003, during English class at John Marshall High School.

According to Good, Young recruited the help of her bridesmaids and his cousins to plan the perfect proposal.

She thought the two would see the film Sabotage at the AMC Webster 12, grab some dinner and spend the weekend at Niagara Falls. Young had even hired a sitter.

But while Good was waiting for the movie to begin, she received a much bigger surprise. The couple's friends and family began to line the aisles, and photos with loving messages began to play on the big screen.

Next, in walked Young with an engagement ring and roses.

Young proposed at the theater because their first date was at the movies.

The couple plans to get married this August at First Genesis Baptist Church.
