No one hurt in power plant explosion

Lewiston, N.Y. -- Repair crews are investigating what caused a transformer to explode and catch fire along the Niagara River Wednesday night.

The Niagara County Sheriffs Office said no one was injured after an explosion at the New York Power Authority plant in Lewiston, just north of Niagara Falls.

At least one of the power-producing units was badly damages. Crews put out the fire in about 25 minutes.
