Man accused of using fraudulent check

Geneseo, N.Y. -- An Illinois man has been arrested after allegedly trying to use a fraudulent check at the Sears in Geneseo.

According to the Livingston County Sheriff's Office, an investigation showed Walton had attempted to cash a fraudulent check using the name of Anthony Smith and Smith Exterior Company. 

He was also discovered to be in possession of a fraudulent Indiana driver's license matching the name of Anthony Smith. 

Walton was arrested for felony criminal possession of a forged instrument and criminal impersonation for attempting to use anothers identity.

Genesee County and Erie County are working on similar charges against Walton in their own jurisdictions.
