Cuomo's approval rating hits new low
New York -- Gov. Andrew Cuomo had his lowest approval rating since taking office, according to a Wall Street Journal/Marist College poll released Thursday.
The poll showed Cuomos approval had dropped from 52 percent to 42 percent since November.
There was a sharp drop among Latino and African-American voters, and approval among upstate voters fell 12 percentage points.
The poll still showed Cuomo leading any potential Republican contenders, including Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino, who announced his candidacy Wednesday.
