Livingston County man faces rape charges

Geneseo, N.Y. The most serious sex crime on the books in the State of New York is predatory sexual assault, and a Livingston County man was facing that charge in court Thursday.

Larry Tuttle, 46, of Avon, was first arrested in November. His alleged crimes have been under investigation by police ever since.

The now-teenage victim of Tuttles alleged crimes was in court with her family Thursday.

To protect the identity of the victim, both her name and her fathers name are not being released.

I wouldnt wish that on my worst enemy," the victim's father said. "Its a horrendous thing that, you know, take all that from a kid, their life, and destroy their life basically."

The victim was in court Thursday, but ran from the room in tears when Tuttle entered the courtroom.

Theres other people that are starting to come forward, girls her age," the father said. "Were hoping that to her people, if they see this, that theyll come forward if theyve got the strength. Shes young and the other ones are young too."

Tuttles case was adjourned another month while the investigation continues.

These are serious allegations," said Kevin Van Allen, Tuttle's attorney. "My client certainly understands the gravity of the situation, but its awfully early at this point."
