Feds spending millions on first class

Waste Watch- Whats better than flying first class to a foreign country? Doing it for free with millions of taxpayer dollars.

"It doesn't really make sense for someone who is a hairdresser, who makes 22-thousand dollars a year for her taxes to be paying for someone to fly first class and that flight could cost half her salary," Michal Conger from the Washington Examiner said.

Between 2012 and 2013, 14 governmental agencies collectively spent almost nine million dollars on more than 1,900 flights.

Upgraded seats cost taxpayers nearly $6.5 million.

For example, the Department of Labor spent $15,500 for a single ticket from Washington to Vietnam. Flying coach would have cost $1,600.

"Right now agencies are being asked to cut their budgets to find out ways where they can save money, said David Williams with the Taxpayers Protection Alliance.  Travel should be first on the list. This is easy."
