Livingston Co. to close roads

Geneseo, N.Y. -- The Livingston County Sheriffs Office has issued an advisory warning drivers against unnecessary travel.

At 3 p.m., all roads will be closed for all but essential traffic, including medical personnel and law enforcement.

The sheriffs office asked drivers to find a safe place prior to the road closure.

Prior to then, the public will not be barred from traveling. It will be up to individual drivers to judge whether they feel driving conditions are safe.

Travel after 3 p.m. is limited for medical personnel, fire, law enforcement, emergency services and personnel essential to the emergency and those on their way to and from performing essential acts associated with the preservation of life and/or property.

The roads will be reopened as soon as they are deemed safe.
