Snowmobiler's body found along roadside

Bennington, N.Y. -(AP) - Authorities say a 30-year-old man who was killed in a snowmobile accident Wednesday night wasn't found until the following morning when crews were clearing snow from the blizzard.

The Wyoming County Sheriff's Office said that Jeffery Kirsch Cowlesville was driving a snowmobile on a road when he went off the shoulder and hit a road sign in the rural town of Bennington, in the county's northwest corner 25 miles east of Buffalo.

Deputies say the accident scene wasn't discovered until Thursday morning by a town plow truck driver.

Kirsch was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the investigation is continuing.
