Two shootings overnight

Rochester, N.Y. Rochester Police Department officers responded to two separate calls for shooting incidents in the city late Friday night and early Saturday morning.

The first incident was a call for a shooting on Hudson Avenue in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The victim, a 41-year-old Rochester man was shot in a lower extremity, according to police.

The other incident involved a Rochester man who was almost run over by a car and was then shot on Portage Street late Friday night.

Around 11:30 p.m. Rochester Police Department officers responded to Portage Street for a 23-year-old victim shot in the torso, investigators said.

The victims were both taken to Strong Memorial Hospital for non-life threatening injuries, according to police.

Anyone with any information regarding the two incidents is asked to call 911.
