RCSD proposes more social workers

Rochester, N.Y. -- City School District Superintendent Bolgen Vargas has proposed a plan to increase support for some students with special needs.

Vargas announced a plan Tuesday to invest $1.3 million that would allow every school in the district to have at least one full-time social worker.

Vargas said doing so would better serve children who need additional social or emotional support.
