Injured WNY soldier thanks supporters

Temple, Texas -- A soldier from Western New York injured in the shooting at Fort Hood last week thanked his supporters on social media Wednesday night.

Wanted to take a moment to genuinely thank EVERYONE for all the warm-felt thoughts and prayers as I continue to recover and gain strength, Major Patrick Miller tweeted from the Central Texas hospital where hes recovering.

Miller, 32, originally from Allegany, Cattaraugus County, got a visit from the U.S. Armys chief of staff Wednesday.

President Obama paid tribute to the three soldiers killed in the attack with an address at Fort Hood Wednesday as well.
