Prosecution rests in Nguyen trial

Rochester, N.Y. - The prosecution in the Dawn Nguyen trial has rested its case.

State Police Investigator Tom Crowley was cross-examined Friday morning. He initially questioned Nguyen on December 24, 2012 after the guns used in the Christmas Eve ambush in Webster were traced back to her.

Nguyen is accused of providing the guns later used by convicted killer William Spengler in that shooting. He killed two West Webster firefighters and his sister in the incident.

Nguyen's defense team has requested that the court recess until Monday. The trial is expected to resume then at 10:00 a.m.

The defense is expected to call one to three witnesses, or possibly none.
