Man and girlfriend arrested for DWI

Hamlin, N.Y. - A Hamlin man was arrested for driving while intoxicated and endangering the welfare of a minor, according to the Monroe County Sheriff's office.

Jason Moyer, 27, was arrested after driving to a Monroe County Sheriff's office substation to pick up his girlfriend, Jessica Burtsell, 22 of Henrietta, who had been arrested for driving while intoxicated and needed a ride home.

According to investigators, Moyer left his 2-year-old daughter at home alone in order to pick up his girlfriend. When he got to the substation, deputies discovered that he was intoxicated.

Deputies drove Moyer's girlfriend home and found the child home alone.

Moyer was released with an appearance ticket, and Child Protective Services were called about the incident, investigators said.
