Nazareth breaks ground on new Wellness Institute

Pittsford, N.Y. -- Nazareth College broke ground on its new Wellness and Rehabilitation Institute Monday.

Lt. Governor Bob Duffy joined Nazareth College President Daan Braveman and members of the college's board of trustees for the groundbreaking Monday morning.

The $16.5 million expansion project will double the School of Health and Human Services clinic and collaboration space, bringing Nazareth's wide array of health and wellness fields under one roof.

College leaders said the expansion and reconfiguration will help boost enrollment by an estimated 30 percent.

The building is set to open in the fall of 2015, in time for new students' clinical work.
