Signals detected in missing flight search

Perth, Australia (AP) -- There's new hope in the search for Malaysia Airlines Flight 370.

The Australian official in charge of the coordinated search said more underwater signals have been detected in the southern Indian Ocean.

The two signals were picked up Tuesday, and crews are hoping they're coming from the plane's two data recorders.

The ship searching for the plane is equipped with a U.S. Navy towed pinger locator that is designed to pick up signals from a plane's black boxes.
