Scottsville church begins rebuild

Scottsville, N.Y. -- A Scottsville church has started rebuilding after a car slammed into the recreation building in September 2013.

The bitter cold winter delayed construction at St. Mary's Church until Wednesday.

"It's extremely important for us because we use it every weekend." said Steven Robinson, a parishioner at the church and contractor on the rebuild project. "We have a lot of craft sales here, all kinds of stuff that we would use it for."

Back in September, a driver jumped the curb and ran into the building, which is an important part of the church, Robinson said.
