Shoppers spending less this Easter

Rochester, N.Y. - Shoppers are expected to spend slightly less on Easter this year.

According to the national retail federation, the average American celebrating the holiday will spend a little over $137 on items like clothes, food, candy, and gifts.

That's down from $145 last year.

Overall, Easter spending this year is expected to reach nearly 16 billion dollars.
