Chicken nugget recall

Over 75,000 pounds of frozen cooked chicken nuggets are subject to a USDA recall.

Tyson Foods is issuing the recall for two different products.

5 pound bags of Tyson Fully Cooked White Meat Chicken Nuggets 16142-928 with a Best if used by date of January 26, 2015.

Manufacturer codes on the white meat chicken nuggets 0264SDL0315 through 19 and 0474SDL0311 through 14 can be found on the bags that were shipped nationwide to a retail warehouse club chain.

The other product being recalled is 20 pound packs of Spare Time Fully Cooked Nugget-Shaped Chicken Breast Pattie Fritters w/Rib Meat 16142-861.

This product bears manufacturer codes 0264SDL0315 through 19 and 0474SDL0311 through 14. The product was shipped for institutional use in Arkansas and Indiana.

Both products were produced January 26 and February 16, 2014.

The investigation into the products was started after plastic pieces were found in some of the products.

Tyson Foods said that they have gotten complaints about injuries to the mouth, but none about illness from people eating these products.
