Charges dropped against former FLCC VP

Hopewell, N.Y. -- Charges have been dropped against a local college employee accused of falsifying records and changing grades.

Nancy Purdy has agreed to pay nearly $6,000 in restitution to the state and Finger Lakes Community College, according to her attorney.

Purdy made changes that impacted at least 15 students during a 13-year period at the school. She resigned as associate vice president for academic initiatives at FLCC last June.

As part of the agreement, Purdy must remain out of legal trouble for six months.
