Deputies: York man accidentally shoots man

Caledonia, N.Y. -- Livingston County sheriff's deputies arrested a York man Saturday after he allegedly accidentally shot another man in the face.

Kenneth Rogers, 30, was arrested after deputies received an ambulance call to 1058 McEwen Road in Caledonia for the report of a person with a gunshot wound to the face.

Deputies arrived and found Jeffery Wilkin, 28, sitting in the bathroom of the residence with a bloody cloth on his face.

An investigation later determined both Wilkins and Rogers were drinking alcohol and Rogers accidentally fired a .22 caliber rifle containing bird shot. The shot struck Wilkins in the face.

Rogers was arraigned on one count of felony reckless endangerment and remanded to the Livingston County Jail on $1,000 cash bail or $2,000 secured bond.
