Lewek in drug court Tuesday

Rochester, N.Y. - The man charged in connection with the death of a missing man, took steps today to try to get charges against him reduced.

Doctor William Lewek faces drug possession and tampering with evidence charges.

The body of Matthew Straton was found in the backyard of his Rowley Street home.

Lewek underwent interviews today for the judicial diversion program.

If he's accepted into a drug treatment program, Lewek could have the charges against him reduced or dismissed.

Prosecutors oppose the move and say Lewek should face regular court for his charges.
