Suspicious package left at Waterloo Outlets

Waterloo, N.Y. - A bomb squad was at the Waterloo Premium Outlets Wednesday night investigating a suspicious package.

Seneca County sheriff's deputies got a call just before 5:30 p.m. from someone who says they saw a person leave a suitcase in a parking lot and then drive away.

The entire east section of the plaza was evacuated as a precaution.

Deputies were assisted by memebers of the Monroe County Sheriff's Bomb Squad. The package was inspected and deemed safe.

A section of the mall was closed for 4 hours.
