Fire on St. Clair Street

Rochester, N.Y. -- A fire started in a house on St. Clair Street early Sunday, according to the Rochester Fire Department.

Two people had to jump out of the second-story window to escape the fire, investigators said.

The fire started outside near the porch of the two-story home and moved inside.

According to a Red Cross spokesperson, housing and food vouchers were provided for five adults.

Two people were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital for evaluation, according to the Rochester Fire Department.
