Red Wings join Clean Sweep

Rochester, N.Y. - Help clean up your neighborhood and you could go to a Rochester Red Wings game for free.

The City of Rochester is teaming up with the ball club for this years Clean Sweep.

The one-day event is Saturday, May 3. The Red Wings players will pick up some tools that morning and then host a game that afternoon with free tickets and parking for anyone who helps in the cleanup.

Aaron Thompson, pitcher for the Red Wings, says it was the fans that encouraged them to participate.

This is the 8th year of Clean Sweep. The Red Wings are challenging school teams to take part.
