Greece runner’s emotional marathon finish

Boston -- More than 35,000 runners started in the Boston Marathon Monday, the second-largest field in its history.

Amy Lembo of Greece wasn't able to finish the marathon last year.

"Passing that spot today felt really, really good," Lembo said.

She admitted she shed a few tears at the starting line.

"Once I started running, the volunteers and spectators along the way just lift your spirit," Lembo added.

Lembo was one of many athletes racing from Western New York.

Greece's Jason "J-Mac" McElwain or finished in just under 3 hours.

Greece Arcadia graduate Jeff Eggleston finished in eighth place overall with a time of 2 hours and 11 minutes.
