Bay outlet bridge closing

Irondequoit, N.Y. -- The Irondequoit Bay Outlet Bridge will close to drivers for seven months Tuesday morning.

The swing bridge is scheduled to close at 9 a.m. so boats can make their way between Irondequoit Bay and Lake Ontario through the peak boating months.

The bridge connecting the northern portions of Irondequoit and Webster will reopen to drivers Oct. 31.
