New housing project receives funding

Albany, N.Y. -- Governor Andrew Cuomo announced over $95 million to build affordable housing across the state.

Over $3 million of the $95 million was given to Home Leasing, LLC for the re-use of the historic Eastman Dental Dispensary to create 57 units of mixed-income housing.

The funds were available through New York State Homes & Community Renewal (HCR)'s Unified Funding Application.

In total, during the Unified Funding process, HCR is making awards to 37 separate projects in each of the state's ten economic development regions.
