Historic building to be renovated

Rochester, N.Y. -- A historic building downtown will undergo renovations this summer.

Work on the Bevier Memorial Building on South Washington Street will begin in June.

Syracuse developer Douglas Sutherland said he plans to turn the building into 15 loft apartments.

The building used to be part of the Rochester Institute of Technology campus, but has been empty for the last 15 years.
